Walking Dead BEER?

Ever look in a shop and see something really retarded? like while online once a friend showed me you can get My Little Pony fleshlights and then you think 'This fandom has really gone too far?' I feel like that with The Walking Dead now.

A beer company in America [So it's bound to taste like wank... American beer is like widdle lets face it chaps] has decided to make a The Walking Dead inspired beer. Now I love zombies and booze even if The Walking Dead has become like that third slightly slow child who licks the windows but you have to love them anyway... I normally like every nerd with too much money jump on most things with their fandom's packaging.

But this thing is to have Smoked Goat Brains so if you are a massive fag like me and don't eat meat then that's a no no right away. I don't know many meat eating friends who would enjoy the thought of drinking some animals brains..

It sounded rather nice until.. brains... I spose it needed something rather gimmicky for it to be Walking Dead related more then a label right? it's creative and I applaud that people are more original and taking risks but.... I dunno not for me.

BUT I think I might try it if I ever get hold of one. Us people who aren't from America will more then likely see this in Cybercandy or Forbidden Planet for at least £8 that's my thoughts on it anyway.

More often than not, monotonous Monday cleaning rituals (labors of love for brewers everywhere) were spent recapping the previous night’s twists, turns, narrow escapes, or untimely goodbyes. Dock Street wanted to brew a special tribute to the show. “Screw it, let’s use brains!”

Dock Street Walker (7.2% ABV) is an American Pale Stout, brewed with substantial amounts of malted wheat, oats, and flaked barley for a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Fuggle hops provide delicate, earthy notes, while the cranberries create a sinister, bloody hue, and a slight tartness. The pre-sparge-brain-addition provides this beer with intriguing, subtle smoke notes. In true walker fashion, don’t be surprised if its head doesn’t hang around forever.

While Dock Street has earned local, national, and international praise for many of its traditional styles like Rye IPA, Royal Bohemian Pilsner, and Amber Ale, making waves is familiar ground to Philadelphia’s first microbrewery. The growing portfolio of Reinheitsgebot-taunting brews includes Sexy Beast, Truffled Old Ale, Satellite Espresso Stout, Bubbly Wit, Nino’s Prickly Pears, and Spanglish Fly, a biere de garde brewed with wormwood, yarrow, and ginger. 

Gourmet mushrooms and potentially hallucinogenic herbs are one thing, but smoked brains… really? Believe it or not, much of the world considers brain to be a true delicacy. Think Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, but not ridiculous. Many also believe that using every part of an animal not only increases and encourages sustainability, but also honors the animal’s life and death. 

Dock Street will release this brainy new brew on March 30th. Join us at Dock Street at 7pm for live music from acoustic funky filth band Face and the Filthies, goblets of this never before done brew, and a screening of The Walking Dead Season Finale. Growlers will be available for those who’d rather drink their brains out at home. Eff the Governor.
